Eye of the Temple is an interesting title, built almost single-handedly by developer Rune Skovbo Johansen on PCVR, and ported to Quest with Salmi Games. Eye of the Temple has you exploring an ancient temple, unlocking its gates, solving its puzzles, and making your way to its inner core to liberate the forces of light from the darkness that has taken over the temple. Like every good endless runner, Temple Run 2 features a number of collectibles for you to grab while you're on the run. Power-ups are the most obvious, though this app is sadly lacking in variety. There are really only three to take into account; the Shield, which will absorb one fatal hit for you, the Boost, which makes you temporarily invincible, and the Magnet, which draws coins to you. These get the job done and you'll want to get them when they appear, but the game could have benefited from something more exotic. How to Play Temple of Boom The famous sports bar Chickie’s and Pete’s is pretty close to the ballpark on Packard Avenue. There are hundreds of screens and video game options inside here. The food is pretty good too. The Crab Fries are famous here. You can park at Chickie’s and Pete’s for some games and they offer a shuttle bus to the games (“The Taxi Crab”). Just make sure you follow parking rules, as they will be quick to tow you if you don’t.
